Smart way on Using of HDMI, DVI or Analog Cables
Using HDMI cables exceeds the use of its predecessor, the DVI cable as people looking for better reception and performance. But when you consider the options, it is not always a clear decision on the cable to be used for improvements in all images on your TV and computers.
DVI (Digital Visual Interface) provides high visual quality on devices such as flat panel computer screens and other output devices. It is also used for video cards and graphics to carry an analog signal. Using the DVI versus VGA cable, there is no digital switchover happening with a VGA cable. As the signal passes from digital to analog to digital and back with the VGA cable, DVI cable carries the digital signal without converting to analog format and vice versa. In recent years, most TVs and other devices come standard with DVI connection, making it increasingly obsolete and analog video quality.
The DVI-A only supports an analog signal and DVI transmits a signal to an analog device. The DVI-D only supports digital signals and transmits a DVI signal on a digital camera. The third type is the DVI-I, which has a DVI signal to any analog or digital, analog and digital to analog to digital. Unlike HDMI, DVI cable does not carry audio signals, are not as diverse as the HDMI cable.
